What would some of you charge for this project. I want to see if I was out of line. The setting two 5 acre properties with white pvc fences the 3 horizontal bars kind. Water is available to fill my 525 gallon tank via well pump. There is 4700 linear feet of this fence both sides have algae and need to be cleaned. I can not to stay hooked up to water due to the distance of this fence. what would you charge. My bid came in at 1200 the other guy 800 that is less than .03 cents a sq. I even went down from my normal price of .50 a linear foot to .30 based on volume.

I would have hired DOG to do it for $100.00 and then charged them $600.00 and stayed home.:D :D

You werre up against a blow and go artist Kory.
They will spray the fence with sauce with a chem pump, and dash.
Then call it "pressure washing" :eek:

how much time do you think it would take you to complete the job?

so the individual that came in at 800.00 will probably make around 400.00 for a day possibly a day and a half worth of work. inbetween 33.00 and 50.00 per hour.

HHAHAHAHHHHAAA funny :D i ithink 800 is great money for a vinyl fence.... i would have it done with a helper (100-125$) in a day. roughly 700$ in a day is ok by me.... so if you did not adjust your price not to beat the underbid but at least show some flexibility (950-1000$) then????? i cant wate for the day i could be so smugg about the value of my services that i could turn down that kinda money..... remember the fence will get dirty again in a year or two.

well in thinking about it thats what i would have suggested use the delevan and the roof mix and adjust the nozzle to the "mist" to curtail chem waste. i would still PW it to rinse tho..

What would you do when they called you and said there prize winning horse died cause of the work you did?
 
C'mon man wtf? why are you not telling the prospective customer this? i guess if his horse is such a prized possession he would go with the guy that is insured? i have a mill. dollar policy. but it is a mute point you obviously did not get the job and now i am the bad guy cause i suggested a lil negotiation and sales effort?

BTW i said that it would be rinsed(PW) as with all things i do i rinse really well......
 
We do fence quite a few times a year. The biggest PITA is getting over to the other side, it gets old jumping fence all day or have two guys, but something always gets in the way. But vinyl fence sure cleans up nice. We do a couple golf courses and neighborhoods. $800 for a day and a half, we do better than that any day on vinyl fence

I know a guy who cleans the hogs before they go to the slaughter house. They coral them into a fenced in area and spray them down with a low pressure high volume P/W. The fence gets cleaned in the process at no extra charge..:D :D
 
what are you complaining about the the price of hog washing now? are you mad that the hog washer cleans the fence for free too? you guys are to much man:D :confused: :eek:
