John...it looks like you did great job. I'm in the commercial cleaning business and plan to start a oven hood cleaning business as well. Some seem to have problems using the form... dripping on roof, parking lot... What do you us to clean hoods and if you don't mind me asking... what is the average charge for cleaning one hood. Like the one it take you 4 hrs to clean??? I live in Maine and there are very few hood clearner around this town.
Thanks
Greg Morris
A good average is about 75 to 100 dollars per hour .. I usually just use caustic soda.. to clean with.. I sort of fear the foam.... anyhow be very very careful with caustic ....
buy the bags at a chemical store... it comes in beads ,,, then mix with hot water in a pump up sprayer ( caustic first then warm water ) .... never the other way around..
eh? I don't have any problem with the foam <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/5wRPXOUsNcA"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/5wRPXOUsNcA" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
Ok I don't fear it , but my first attempt to build one using an air compressor setup sort of failed.. but I have used Dawn Foam with caustic and it works pretty good.. What we really need is Caustic Gel.....
