It is awesome that his pics made it to cleanertimes. I have got to wonder how many residential or commercial prospects actually read a pressure cleaning magazine.lol I have had a roof cleaning article in the CLEANER TIMES magazine it has brought no new clients this way. Just an observation here in florida.

THAT is believable in the eyes of a customer, and is one of my "secrets" to closing sales.

It totally "blows out" things like "references" and "Angie's List"

Consumers ain't stupid, and realize "references" can be faked.
Someone can "put you" on Angie's List, and you can "bribe" someone to say good things about you who is an Angie's List member by brown nosing, and doing extra free work.
Consumers are Hip to this.

It is a LITTLE harder to "Con" or "Bribe" an entire large Chamber Of Commerce, know what I mean ?

Actually, I get very little chance to "play salesman" anymore, since at this point, most of my business comes from repeat customers, or referrals from same.

But, I can "shoot bullets" with the best of em, when I need to.

This will give Ken a great bullet to shoot, IMHO.

It can only be good for him!

What I would do, IF I were him, is use it when he is competing with other roof cleaning companies.
Unfortunately, he will have to actually get Cleaner Times in the hands of his prospective customer.

I would show any prospective customers your roof cleaning article if I were you ?
 
I meant no dis-respect towards K&J.It is something to be proud of. I would use it to market also. I was making a comment on cleanertimes not getting into the hands of potential customers.

Now, how can we get Cleaner Times into the hands of the consumer ?
IF Cleaner Times was an online archive, one could simply have a link on their website pointing to it ?
Even a link right to the article of yours, or to Ken's pictures ?
 
I plan on using the article to put out a press release about my company.
As for Angie's list, yes you can "fake" your way on but when you have 25 "A" rated reports and have won the SUPER SERVICE AWARD for 2005 & 2006 it's about doing great work and being professional, not about giving your service away or "ass kissing".

I took the day off today, going up to Ocala, found a great deal on a used HydraSport Center Console Boat!
It has a Nissan 90 horse, and low hours.

Never heard back from him. I researched the # before I called and it was from Sarasota.

I have had this problem before when I have given leads to other friends that I was too busy to work.
Perhaps he thought you were just some run of the mill Joe.
Did you tell him you knew me, and that I referred him to you ?

The lead was a few days old Ken, because I sent it to you know who first, and he took a few days to decline it.

Usually, that is not a problem on a big job, as those buyers tend to take their time.
