Well you never call me anymore, I miss our late night talks. Plus I heard that you were talking to sally over in the Green Acres trailer park, and sue said that she saw Julies sister talking to you in the piggly wiggly. Care to explain?

Busted again!

I try and get delco prices but around here guys charge 75% to 50% of that.

It all depends on WHERE you advertise Kory ?
The Flyer is a whores market, but believe it or not, I have advertised in there,, against the whores, and had some luck.

It all comes down to being able to assure your customer that there IS a difference between you, and your would be competitor.
Otherwise, it is always going to be strictly a price war.

The Tile Roof Cleaning page on my website TELLS the potential customer straight up that we are NOT the cheapest price.

It even goes so far as to say that if saving the last 100 bucks is what they are looking for to KEEP SHOPPING!

We do a LOT of high end homes Kory.
I have tried being cheap, and found it will scare these high end customers away.

When I am confronted by a customer telling me he got a "better" price then mine, this is what I tell them.

"Mister Customer, surely you know you only get what you pay for"
"We price our work up to a high standard of quality, not down to a price"

Then we tell them that IF price, rather then a quality job is what they are looking for, then they shouldn't waste any more time talking with us!

The day you passed us driving up in North Tampa, we were on our way to a 6000 sq ft home.

We got 2500.00 for that roof alone.

He asked us to match a much lower bid, and I refused.

I initially bid 3000.00 on that roof.
It was a SOB!

I did have to come down 500 dollars, but WE got the job because the other guy came in low to begin wiith.

When you bid low, there is nowhere to go, sales wise.

You are out of "bullets", because you have gave away everything from the get go.

When you bid to do a quality job, and a customer bargains you down, they feel that they have "won" a victory.

A customer living in the millon dollar homes we frequently do is not living there because they are stupid.

When you bid cheap, they perceive you as cheap, and will only use your bid to try and get a deal from the company they perceive doing quality work, LOL
