Some people in here said they used it as a surfactant and worked pretty good.

12.5 and H2O is ALL that is really needed for cleaning roofs.Anything else is a personal opinion/option.

Your only half way correct. Without a surfactant you will be wasting alot of your mix. And it will take longer to clean.
