I just don't understand what is the purpose for it .If something happened like just say a person walking up an got burned by the muffler etc what's the gain vs risk just saying. That thing cost a lot as well just don't know why you would want that . I wouldn't think you could ride down the road with it hanging out like that.

There is no grass between the sidewalk and the street, so you could conceivably receive a ticket for blocking the sidewalk.
