Drum hand truck recommendations

Just switched over abd started buying 12.5% in drums. Any drum truck recommendations? Obviously best quality and best price. I get the drums delivered outside my shop while I'm not there abd have to move them indoors.

You might check with your supplier and if that dose not work try hand trucks .com. There are a lot of carts to fit your needs.

I bought one of these locally for about $250 14 years ago. It's handled more drums in a year than you'll handle in your lifetime. Like pressure washers, buy good...don't buy cheap.

Russ, will that one work on the poly drums? I was thinking of that one but worried that the metal tabs on the bottom might tear through the bottom of the poly drum and don't want to take any chances, I know it will work great on the metal drums no problem.

I used those in the lab before and they work great to pour chemicals out of but not the best for moving drums.

I usually tilt the drum on the edge and roll them on the edge to where I am going, I like the picture that Russ posted, just not confident it will work on the poly drums. Maybe I am wrong?

I concur. The one I'm using is not ideal but is cheap and actually works so far. I'd love to find a better one like the one in your pic but with longer tabs to hold poly drums. I have to use motorcycle straps to secure the drum to my cheap hand truck.

I have no problems at all with poly drums...it actually slides under them easier than steel drums.

No, I just went and looked...all the labels are long gone. I bought it at a local material handling company.

250$ ... 14 years of depreciation... How about I take that old beat up cart off your hands for 29.95 and we call it a day?

How hard is it to move drums around with these? Bleach drums weigh easily 3x more than me. I have to move my drums from the street where the chem guy drops them off to my storage unit about 400 feet away. I used a refrigerator dolly, and it about killed me. Lol

Not so sure those would roll very good on gravel drives. Maybe you can get them with pneumatic tires?
