Cold weather flat work

I have a chance to bid the dumpster area and sidewalks at one of our new commercial accounts. They currently have them done every month. I don't have a hot water machine so I was wondering about issues when using a cold water machine in freezing temps. Any help is appreciated.

You're going to have a hard time doing this without hot water. Not because of the freezing temps but it will be needed to clean the surface especially in the dumpster area. It rarely reaches freezing where I am but the water will freeze on the concrete weather it's hot water or cold water machine and I don't think the machines will operate any differently in the cold weather as long as you have winterized them properly

If the temps are freezing the water will freeze on the surface regardless so hot or cold wont matter too much that way. You can throw salt down when you are done to melt the ice and for sefety.

Mark is correct on the heat for cleaning thing though cold water would take a real long time..

Hi Tony, our rule is 28 degrees on a nice sunny Midwest day. At night if the forecast low is below 33 we stay home. Just not worth the risk.
