Defamatory ad on Craigslist: What would you do?

Someone posted this on Craigslist about a pressure washing company. From what I can tell, they are a reputable company that has been in business for 14 years, has a high quality website and is a BBB member. What would you do if this happened to you?

Here's the ad (names blocked out)

DO NOT HIRE/ WORK FOR PRESSURE WASHING XXX

DO NOT WORK FOR (HIRE) PRESSURE WASHING XXX (Owner Name) THE MAN IS A RACIST, UNPROFESSIONAL AND A LIAR. HE WILL DISRESPECT YOU UNTIL YOUR BLUE IN THE FACE. HE IS COMPLETELY OUT OF TOUCH WITH REALITY. TRUST ME...AS DESPERATE AS YOU MAY BE FOR WORK OR TO CLEAN YOUR HOUSE,WALKWAY OR PORCH. I don't know. I'm going to contact him about it. I just happened to see it today.

That's exactly what it was. He said the guy didn't show up for work for two days so he fired him. It was his way of getting back at him.

I hope the contractor flagged the post on Craigslist.

Flag it and have it removed. I know this because a competitor had one of my employment ads removed, what a tool.

I would ignore it at first. If it persisted then I would contact Craig s List.
