How Much Fuel do you use?

Anybody use fuel additives?
A sub-contractor that I used to use in Australia (good friend now :yikes:) swears by them.

This is the type he uses:

I'm scared to look on how much I spend on fuel anymore these days. I just slide the wife's credit card and hope it says "approved".

If it's declined then I pick up the phone and call her and tell her "Houston We Have A Problem"

Thanks Ron.

Ugh.. I hate thought of the Superfleet bill every month. Average is around $3500 - $4000 a month in season. I went to fuel cards years ago for reporting and tracking purposes plus all of our trucks have GPS tracking on them so it tracks the MPG, speed and route every 30 seconds (www.fleetmatics.com). A little pricey but pays for itself each month baby sitting. Last year I averaged a grand a month in fuel running estimates (F350 diesel). Traded that in on a 2011 F150 CC Flex Fuel so I'm hoping to cut that fuel in half.

When we were traveling the road back in the day, we averaged around $10,000 month in fuel and I remember the $5.00 diesel very well !! I use Amex as well and I use to earn lots of Delta Sky Miles every year.

Any one running a hybrid car for estimate?

I been looking at the Chevy Cruz or the Prius.

I know Michael Stewart bought a prius and he said he loves it!

I'm enjoying the passing of each station.

Its not a hybrid, but I almost always drive my wifes civic when I'm not in need of a truck bed. I swear it burns less gas most days than a pressure washer.

I've been running around on my hike lately for this reason. The choice is the flashy f450 or a bike and I'm much happier paying 12 for a full tank of premium over the 140 for diesel.

What brand bike? I can't remember what my Harley or goldwing got per gallon.

Would a debit card from a seperate account be any better? No credit, and being a seperate account you would know that everything is fuel expenses.

My bank lists cards separate. That I'd what it's going to depend on.

Check out this fuel mileage.

I traded my Chevy 3/4 ton yesterday for this. It will easily double the mileage I get.

Next in the chopping block: F250 and heavy trailer.
