We hired an assistant this year to help out with managing our office. She's a ball of fire. She has been with us since March 1st and has done so much. Man we should have done this years ago!!! This releaves me to go just do estimates all day everyday. She does all the calling and seting up meetings with new clients and property managers. Im just so excited I just had to post this.
Does any one else have a girl in the office and hows it working out for you??

Yep!! we got someone in the office about 5-6 months ago. We were just saying today how it felt like last year was busier than this year and we didnt know why. Then we looked at the numbers and realized that we are WAAAY over last years numbers, in both total jobs and dollars. The difference? We have an office lady who does all of the phone calls, scheduling, quickbooks, etc... and I focus on sales.

Now if I could just hire a sales person......

We had one last year and it was tremendous! She is actually going into the role of office manager and we are hiring another girl to answer phones, set appts. Etc.

We going to need all the help we can get. We are forcasted to do $35k in sales in April. I'm so fricking ready. This winter seemed like it went on forever.

I may try again for office help. But I like all the hats I wear:big_boss:

Congrats Jim
Jeff,
I thought you hired your nephew a year or so ago to help out organizing your office too. What happend?

You can hire ME in the winter!!!! LOL

Hmm, i dont have an office girl. My wife handles the books, and i do everything else. I am curious at what point of monthly sales people feel they need office help?

Around 60-70k month.

I will let her work for free as long as she can answer all of your calls!:thumbup2:

Hahaha! The words "Thank you for calling ProKleen Power Washing" comes to mind.

I would rather have something to do then sit and think about how important I am. As soon as I feel a need, or my wife gets overwhelmed, it will be a no brainer. Until then, i am going to keep the tight financial controls that I feel have made me successful. Of course it helps that I have not made a sales.call in ten years.

He lasted about 7 months, I made a bad decision hiring him, he wasn't what I needed

So its me, man of many hats. Life is Good

Come on I heard you in Phx walking around saying "I am Legend"

Every once in a while i get a little overwhelmed, but it keeps me on top of my toes.

I won't do anything I don't want to do as long as I can afford it without compromising our financial plan.
