Any one know the fastest most cost effective way to get your guys OSHA 10 our certified?

Is any of your employees OSHA 10 certified?

You can have them do an online course at various accredited websites:
http://www.oshacampus.com/osha/osha-10-hour-training.cfm
Online would help you save time and money. Plus they could do it it in there own free time. You may even be able to find a multiple employee discount somewhere but I'm not sure.

I took the OSHA 30 and the HAZWOPPER 40 last summer, I did it online, just follow the directions and enjoy the show!

I agree quickest and easiest way is online. I think if you want a 40 HAZWOPER that requires the initial training online and hands on training with a trainer. But that's a little overkill but can't hurt.

It does but where I was concerned I had worked in the field already and they grandfathered me in on that.

Any time you can be grandfathered in on anything take advantage of it. Especially, stupid AT&T with there data plans. Just glad I was grandfathered in on their unlimited plan for data.

No, the OSHA 30 gets you the same plus some, if you have the OSHA 30 there is no need for the Hazwopper 40, at least for what I do.

Cool thanks guys... After a meeting with my ops manager we have decided that all of our guys will get OSHA 10 training and cross trained from pwing and lawn and landscape stuff.

I was OSHA certified with my old job but that was becuase we were awarded a government contract to do some work for and it was required.

OSHA courses are a great selling feature for any business and will ensure your clients they are dealing with professionals. They offer a wide variety of courses online that are fairly cheap. Plus they make everyone on the job site more concerned about safety. Helping prevent injury and unnecessary damage to a clients property will always save you money down the road.

My dad always told me to Never put myself in a dangerous position. I guess thats just a way to say use common sense.

Im not knocking this. Ive been trying to focus on it for employees and need to do an even better job at it.

Good OSHA story
I was with a partner working sandblasting the outside of a small take 40' high, we just tarped it in and my partner didnt have a knife on him and he had to cut a piece of rope to tie the tarp to an angle iron railing. There was a ballpeen hammer so he started to use the ballpeen on the rope banging it to cut it on the corner of the angle iron, I was about 15' from him. The ballpeen metal hammer head went flying off and all of a sudden we heard an Uggg and WTF.

Looked over the side of the tank and there was 2 OSHA guys with OSHA hardhats and the OSHA guy was rubbing his back....Yup ballpeen hit him right in the back.

OSHA was on that job for weeks :yikes:
