Holiday weekend plans?

I am staying at home to enjoy the peace and quiet and catch up on house work. All the kids are at Grandparents houses. :rolleyes: I do have plans to attend a BBQ on Monday, but nothing fancy.
 
Boating and more Boating, then a big ole american bar-b-q at the marina & party .
 
Do you really want to know? This is going to sound like a Gamble, except I did not have a single customer there.
My wife has a license p.ate on her Excursion that is "prtygrl" or party girl. Shenlives to plan parties. She could easily Do it professionally, but " that would take the fun out of it.". So she has been planning an uber party, that we held last night.
Low down, I have a son that just came home from a church mission on Wednesday, another son that is leaving on a church mission on June 9th, a foster son that graduated from high school, another son that graduated from junior high, and my daughter graduated from elementary school. My wife has her 50th in June. All of these things lined up for a perfect storm.
So, she rented the public swimming pool, that has a dive tank, a slide, water toys, etc. Invited about 400 of our closest friends, and we had a party. Full on pulled pork sandwiches, fruit, desserts, etc. It was a classic Cheryl production. I would post a picture of the invitation, except, well, I was in an almost humiliating picture from about 15 years ago. I guess my hair was still dark in it, though.
You might have noticed I was noticeably absent from the list? I got to pay for it.

Attendance was about 325 total, and we had a blast. Today is the cleanup

Being that I found out today that I am not in your "fave 400" I will be staying home this weekend contemplating whether or not my life has any meaning at all. :shrug:

nah, you need to notice two things. First, there were NO business contacts at the party. Second, of all the things celebrated, I was not mentioned, anywhere. On the invitation, in fact, it was pointed out that I was not mentioned...well, except that I got to pay for it all.

She torments me. My own wife torments me. It is terrible. :sarcastic:

That's their job Scott.

My wife is a teacher. The first two days of her vacation I've dug enough holes for new planting beds to fill a single axle dump truck. Times like this I wish I wasn't so cheap.

Ribs and a brisket in the smoker tomorrow.
 
My wife is a princess. Okay, she is a stay at home mom, that does it very well. She usually gets more done in a day then I do in two. At one point, I figured out that she averaged over 40 hours of week of volunteering. I stopped counting after that.
 
Did a house wash today and then to the paint store to pick up stuff for another job. Up real early tomorrow to do a fast food place. We have a big exterior repaint going on and we may put in part of a day on Monday if the weather holds out. Cookout Monday afternoon.
