Sand Blast kits ???

They work pretty good, we used them to strip the paint off those roll off recycle cont.
 
ALL the probe-style Wet S B's glug the sand..
that's the bigggest problem..
We have a special probe that solves that problem.
We also have a special spray-nozzle that almost eliminates the 0 dergree-rut you'll dig when the sand runs out.

They are a nice tool to have in the box of tricks. I like them for stripping paint on masonry surfaces/curbs. I have never had a problem with clogging unless the gun weeps then the water will run down the draw line.

That opens a whole other potential for revenue. Most sandblast companies have gone out of business around here. It removes the element of inhalation hazard that regular sandblasting has.

I mess with a lot of old motorcycles. When you have something sandblasted without the water it leaves raw steel that if you touch with your hands before you prime it will leave surface rust. When you use a PW with sand does the steel come out raw gray when it dries or does it dry out with the light red surface rust?

You inject Rust Ban into the rinse water, or have it in a pump up sprayer for treatment after the rinse. The Rust Ban can be painted right over, no further rinsing is required.

Why wound'nt this be a pretty good revenue for anyone in the pressure washing business ? especially where the cold and snow wouldnt be a deterrent. They would bring Items to you /or you are a mobile sandblaster on some projects. (realizing your not doing commerical bridge sandblasting)
 
We used a wet sand blast kit to strip our trailer and repaint it. Total time for stripping and repainting was only about 3-4 hours. We used an industrial grade epoxy paint made for the chemical plants. It cost about $125 a gallon but it doesnt scratch or flake and is very resisatant to chems. We did it about a year ago and the trailer still looks brand new.

The sand blast kits are awesome. We used black diamond sand, it uses shards of glass or something and it worked 10x faster than the standard sand.
