Pavers......AAARRRGGHHHH

Fell into a job for a neighborhood HOA washing the pavers which decorate the cul-de-sac & loops. They do not want the pavers sealed or resanded, just cleaned, and not "degreased or despotted". Lots of "green" growing in the joints.

Can anyone tell me what the "street rate" would be for this type of job? I know I underbid, not realizing quite how time consuming it would be. The average run of pavers are 24x200 feet.

Youll better next time.
Heres a trick if your not sealing. Saturate with roof mix, then a light rinse. youd be surprised how good it looks and your not spending all the time moving sand.

This is not the best advice as you could cause a fish kill when the chems go down the sewer. If this happens it makes the industry look bad.

Different story if its a pool deck or something.

When looking at the job I had a number in mind which I quoted, based purely on looking at the job. I did not physically measure the roadway, not even calculate the sfq in my mind. I merely thought " hey that looks like a $XX.XX job" and thats the number I threw out.

I decided against roof mix since the neighborhood has several pond/holding areas which are integral to the landscape. Instead we are surface cleaning with hot water (real fast run to avoid sand washout) ad a light solution at the end to kill any remaining biological stains

I''m just curious what others would charge for this on a sqf basis. I don't want to underprice myself or this industry. Sorry to be a pain, my expertise lies mainly with washing houses!
