Dangerous areas

smart idea on not taking the dog, Not to bust anyones balls I will keep it simple if you want to do this type of work at night you need to grow a pair and man up :D

If I wanted to work these types of areas then I would have become a cop. I have a family that I am going to come home to. It is far worse than Selma I am willing to bet.

Take the dog? My wife has a Yorkie, then again, that 2 pound dust mop may help, if you know what i mean. I personally am a Great Dane kind of guy. If you know anything about them, they are huge but gentle as can be.

I've been thinking of buying a lil 32cal. pistol.because i mostly woork alone. and if one of my helpers is there he cant fight for sh!t. have a 45cal. but too bulky. I cant hide it well. baretta makes a nice 32 with a 3.5" barrel i can keep in my hoodie pocket and be talking to someone with my hand on the trigger.

I have a 1 yr. old lab.(55lbs) I trained him for hunting and he will bite on command. or stand on is hind legs untill you tell him otherwise. He will alert you if any one is comming at you or jump off the toolbox if you need him. a barking dog has an effect on a scumbag. just wonder ing if it will work. thanks for the imput guys

I always forget other states are different than WI...do you know how hard it would be to get a permit to carry? I have never met or heard of ANYONE here who can, well my mom is a cop so then again i guess there is 1 person I know. I would carry a 0 degree tip in a pocket...

Working bad areas isn't for everyone. If you're not used to dealing with these types you may want to pass on it. I wouldn't work them alone. You are very vulnerable with both hands on a surface cleaner and focused on work.

A firearm is only useful if you know how to use one and more importantly are willing. And yes when things go wrong there is more to it than pointing and pulling the trigger. A firearm is not designed to be used as a threat.

A good alternative that will almost never get you arrested or sued is LE quality OC spray. It will take the fight out the equation right now 99% of the time. For the other 1% or if any weapon is pulled on you go to plan B Glock 23.

Law Enforcement pepper spray. Not the watered down stuff they sell at the hardware store. Fox and Body Guard are good brands.

"You'd better leave me alone or I'll tell my Mom."

Sorry, just had to...:D

haha I was talking about Atlanta, Washington DC, New Orleans ect...... Just remember they (people/thugs) can smell fear on you a mile away. I can smell it in your post. :(

You have to remember I work all over the place, in fact DC was one of the worst and you wouldnt last a minuite out there in some Jonathan not even in Selma.

But if you want to keep talking smack Little buddy, talk it to me in Atlanta, I will be happy to scare you to death....haha

I just feel the love!!!:D

Scott is right! I lived in Atlanta for 4 years and repo'd tv's and furniture in those areas ie bankhead, college park, dark side of roswell, Stone mountain. They are not that bad. The key is keep your head up be allert and like scott said say "whats up". I have been in country ass towns and felt more affraid than in ATL. If you work at night keep a throw away wallet on you i.e ID 10 bucks and a couple fake CC or expired ones. If they do rob you give it to them and smile cause the jokes on them. If that doesnt please them screw it put two shots in the chest!

I was almost buying into that BullSH*t until the last 6 words.. :D

The decision should be already made upon what your plans are.

Do you have what it takes to pull the trigger? The answer for most will be yes, until the situation arises. I already know that my shots are not going to be aimed at the chest. Too many variables there. If one takes 2 or 3 to the head, its lights out 99 out of 100 times

Just have 2 squirt bottles filled with the most potant stuff you got and hang them from your pockets...not illigal wepons but if need be... Ok, well not really, but where I live if there is a potential problem find out if a police officer can just park in your lot...Kind of a gaurdian angel for ya, Oh and BTW I am glad I live somewhere thats not that bad crime wise!!!

That dont work in some places in ATL. I clean a place where two cops were shot dead by some punks. Im with Russ, grow a pair. Course thats easy to say for big guys like me n Russ.

If you can hitem in the head!we can all aim at a nickle and hit it a 10-20 yards. but can you do it before the guy with the gun already drawn at you or with rounds wizzing by your head? thats the part i dont like about packing. but if its him or me its gonna be him "shoot first ask ?'s later"

I saw a vid. of russ at the rt and hes a big dude. im 165lbs and 5'11" i atract the scumbags looking for an easy target
