POULSBO — A passer-by who saw flames in a downtown Poulsbo restaurant Wednesday night alerted firefighters to a blaze that potentially could have spread to several nearby businesses.
Crews were called to That's-A-Some Italian Ristorante shortly before 11 p.m. and a Poulsbo Fire Department lieutenant quickly snuffed the flames inside the restaurant's kitchen with a handheld extinguisher.
The flames were confined to a stove and grill. But Poulsbo crews asked for fellow firefighters from North Kitsap Fire and Rescue, Navy Region Northwest and Central Kitsap Fire and Rescue given age the building and the proximity of other businesses.
No one was reported hurt in the blaze, which is being investigated by the Kitsap County Fire Marshal's Office.
