Kitchen Fire Scorches San Jacinto Restaurant
A kitchen fire flared up Monday morning at the Hot Wok restaurant in San Jacinto, California. 47 firefighters with the CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department responded to the restaurant located in a strip mall in the 400 block of North State Street, Jody Hagemann, a spokeswoman for the department said in a news release.
When crews arrived, heavy smoke was visible from the 10-unit strip mall but the fire was confined to a kitchen hood-duct system and was contained in approximately 13 minutes. According to Hagemann, damage is estimated at $10,000.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
