Fire Forces Evacuation Of Mankato Restaurant

August 5, 2009 at 11:42am A fire forces a Mankato restaurant to evacuate.Fire crews were called to the TGI Friday's near Highway 22 and Highway 14 around 8 o'clock this evening.Mankato Public Safety says it appears a fire started between the walls in the kitchen of the restaurant.No flames or smoke were visible from the outside of the building.Staff and customers were evacuated while Mankato Public Safety checked it out.It's unknown how the fire started, or if damage was done.
