For years UHP (Ultra High Pressure - 40,000 to 60,000 PSI) water blasting has been the only way to remove paint, Industrial coatings, and/or Graffiti on specific substrates, like asphalt or certain brick surfaces. In the case of line markings on asphalt – up to now, the industry had three choices; Sandblast, Grind, or UHP Water Blast, all of which damage the asphalt to some degree. The guy using a 3000 to 6000 PSI Pressure Washing System could not remove the painted markings without damaging the substrate (asphalt), THAT HAS CHANGED!
In the case of asphalt, they simply spray on Bleu Goo, wait a few minutes, the Bleu Goo emulsifies the paint (turns it to mush!) and you wash it away WITH-OUT damaging the asphalt. The pressure washer guy has the advantage now! He operates cheaper (UHP Water Blasting is Expensive), uses way less water (the obvious advantage of using 6,000 PSI as oppose to 60,000 PSI), and he doesn't hurt the substrate. It works on Road Line Markings, Graffiti, Pool Paint, House Paint, the list goes on…
