Looking Good

A lot of work but it got there. Traded a .22 pistol for it.

The truck definitely looks better than the clouds rolling in!

Weather has been awful. Temps in the 20's and grauple falling every day. We have had 1 day where the temps hit 60 degrees. By the time we get warm and the snow melts it will be September.

That turned out really great.

Did you do all the work?

I like how it looks.

Thank you guys for the compliments. I did it myself over the winter and in between snow storms in the "spring"( 6"-7" of snow possible today). It is not perfect but it will look decent enough for bids and driving around. It will double as my plow rig this winter and the tank will be used for deicing.

Did you just sand it down or have it sand blasted?

It sure looks different than the original.

I was thinking of an older truck and doing the same thing but only if it was diesel. For a truck like that, for my purpose I would like for it to be diesel.

All done by hand and some air tools. Mostly surface rust as they guy I bought it from sanded the good paint off because he didn't like green.

I like the diesel idea but prior to about 1995 Chevy diesels were pretty much crap. After that they were only half crap.
