I always said, if there was one reason I'd give up washing,..it would be due to electricity. Electricity, especially on residential homes can look REALLY bad sometimes. Electricity is like snakes and bees,..I'm not afraid of them,..but am always very aware of their presence, or in the case of snakes,..their potential presence. With any of the three, I use the amount of caution deemed necessary to avoid a problem. (Hopefully)
I've only been lightly shocked twice since 1996,..just enough to let me know it was there. Lightly maybe because of the shoes and gloves I wear? One was through outdoor lights, and the other time was just this year,..I was sliding a window screen up and it "tingled" my whole arm. I told the customer, just so they were aware of "wandering" electricity.
* Didn't get me when I was spraying though,.maybe the voltage travels back through the water stream and then is grounded through the trailer tires??
I see old electrical main feed lines to the house with black tape hanging from them,Ha,Ha,..and some electrical boxes that are rusted and no j-channel around them to keep the water out from behind them.
I always say I'm gonna by a pair of the really big and expensive electrical gloves,..and a rubber mat,..like the ones made for horse stalls,..and use these around bad electricity,...just never done it yet?? The idea isn't to totally stop an incident,..but to maybe buffer it,..I don't know.
