Why not make your own wf cart?

I looked into it the cartridge housings are $150 each then when you add the media and all the other crap it just not worth it in my opinion

Most find its not Kory

- We used to carry build it yourself kits with all the parts included and most folks ended up finding it to time consuming and confusing. You could build a really great system for about a grand, but the time put into sourcing all the parts and assembly could take another week.

I am with you on that one. Iam seeing how well the 1/2 tank with the di water and see how wil it will do. I did buy the pole 33ft water pole at http://www.window-cleaning-supply.com/ at 7lbs

Scott what is your incoming water quality tds reading? Here is a little chart that will show you how long it will last approximately:

TDS (Total Dissolve Solids) vs. Expected gallons of Pure Water:
TDS -----------------Gallons
50 -------------------- 3, 012
100 -------------------1, 506
200 -------------------753
300 ------------------- 502
400 ------------------- 376
500 --------------------301
600 --------------------251
700 --------------------215
800 --------------------188
900 --------------------167
1, 000 -----------------151

Chris, is there a pre-filter you can add to this to help the system last longer? Here in my area the tds is typically about 650 to about 750 depending on where you are, how much rain in the year, etc...... It would be nice to add something like a pre-filter if it is possible to make the system last longer. Is something like this possible? Available at a reasonable cost?

Thanks.

Yea you could put a carbon and sediment filter before hand that will help a bit. But to really make it last you would want to put a RO membrane before it.. But at that point your building a whole system...
