What's your spring marketing plan look like?

David,

We've been working on our spring marketing plan. Ours includes but is not limited to google+ posts, blogs, 20,000 eddm post cards, facebook, website updates and specials, reviews on website and google places, permanent signage, lawn signs and anything else that will stick to the wall.

I wish I knew what it was like to have seasons! haha

We haven't stopped our marketing plan.
I'm basically in the same boat down here! It was 75 degrees yesterday, but we do have some "cold" days and a definite slowdown for winter. I basically am gearing up for the anticipated spring cleaning rush which I'm sure everyone gets.

Are planning on using any door hangers or flyers to supplement the EDDM? 20K is a lot of post cards, though, so it may not be needed.

There is no rush in Arizona for spring cleaning. Maybe snowbird season, clean up both before and after, but not spring cleaning per se. I have no residential marketing plan, because I don't do houses.

I have been trading with friends of a lawn company, and pest control company. I wash there drive for free, and they each send out 3000 mailers with their and my post cards. I also do my own mailer and door hangers and will start up the street bidder campaign in a big way this year. Couple more months of cold then Boom!

and what's that?

Get out and beat the pavement until there are holes in your soles.

But have a plan. Be consistent. Don't walk in once and expect their work.

Instead walk in ten times and instead of hounding them for work don't worry about it. Just be nice and build a relationship with them.

Remember don't waste ten trips on someone who is only worth a little.

Do that enough and you'll have more work than you can get done.

Well said Chris.
Way I see it, I want their business and I'll get it one way or another. We can do it the easy way or the hard way. I'm getting something out if this one way or the other.

To answer the question, I don't implement a residential marketing plan either. All my time, money and energy for marketing is geared towards commercial.

Good luck in 2014 guys.

Wow. Sounds like a pretty good return for an hour of your time.

Many of the private HOA here don't allow door hangers or rock flyers. They will and have pressed charges against other contractors.

That's great! I have the exact same mindset.
