Just wondering what some of you guys would bid on this. The exterior is a stucco with a mixture of shells in it.

I've got some stuff like this out here too. I've been afraid to get started on stucco.

Also is there a ballpark figure to go with like around .05 or 10 cents a sq ft or do you just have a set price? Thanks for all the help everyone has been since I have joined the board.

The total was around 5860 sq ft and we will have access to water The tallest part was around 26ft. I don't think they are expecting it to look brand new again but they want the black streaks out. The side and back are not bad but you can see the front.

I go by the linear ft on these types of buildings and then look at the cost of labor, chemicals, fuel, and so on. If I start with .10 cents per sq.ft your only looking at 586.00 for the job. Depending upon the cost of 12% in your area it could be 1.50-4.00 per gallon and you may even have to use it straight to get that off. So say you need 30 gallons of 12% at 2.50 per gallon and thats gonna cost you 75.00 plus fuel, labor, and maintenance. If you spend 20.00 on fuel, and have no helper and figure 25.00 for maintenance your looking of a profit of 486.00 for the job. In my opinion that job might take anywhere from 2 hours to 8 depending on the results you are seeing.

this is how i approach most jobs to ensure i am not getting myself into something i priced too low or way too high. What do you think yourself?

.15 werks....5 hour, C note worth of expenses put you about $150 an hour or about an 8:1 gross profit to expense ratio..If that means anything, lol.
See that .10 cent figure has been drug up and down the bbs's till it about dead and consensus seems to be that even standard residential housewash without all that type of black grime going on can command .10. Some even complain that .15 is more appropriate. So really no choice to call this spade for what it is.. a possably complex job involving a tad bit of height and chems...just my 2 cents.

ps- And just to offer some confidence... my last grime job involving height was under 3k of surface, used 28 gal of chlorine, took under 4 hour, and was more like over .20 per ft. Message being don't sell yerself short when the alternative for them is at least a couple grand minimum to paint over it.

Or if you really want to save on cost, throw on the turbo and forget the bleach :)

I would charge $750.00 plus the cost of the lift.

The black stuff on the stucco. I am thinking it is soot am i wrong is it a stronger mold? would you need hot water for it ?
