I picked up a van that has a carpet cleaning setup in the back of it for a pretty god deal. I am trying to figure out what it is and what it may be worth, It is a 16 hp Briggs powered steam cleaning unit with reclaim.
There is a CAT 290 pump on it, a vacuum reclaim pump and hose reel with lots of vacuum hose, two reels woth of steam cleaning hose + and extra steam hose coiled up. There is a mini propane boiler with tank to make the heat and a under body tank. It is inside a 1995 Dodge 3500 series van with 124k on it.
Anyone know how these work?
Who makes this unit?
What is it worth?
Anyone want pieces of it if I break it up?
See attached pics.
Thanks for any help, Mike.

Heck, there's your new recovery unit. The Little Giant heaters are about $1200 new. Cat 290 - 3 gpm, 1,200 psi max. Would also make a decent tile cleaner with the right attachment.

damn if I wasn't so far away I woulod come get the whole thing if the price is right. Have you tried to start the motor? I'm kinda keeping my open for one!

I am working on getting it started up, had a battery line and fuel line disconnected. The vacuum pump moves and so does the motor by hand with the pulleys. It does need a little work, but I don't think it will be too much to get it started.

There are a bunch of "scupper" style hand wands & etc as well with the speayer nozzles and vacuum hookup.

I cannot find any specs on the unit which is troublesome, I would like to know what it is capable of.

Anyone looking for a 3500 series Dodge van that need brake work....nice and cheap.

What did you pay for all of that?

Or a ..... oh nevermind

:kma::kma::kma::kma::kma:I did not make an offer, I gave the guy what he asked for it......:kma::kma::kma::kma::

Rob, You could have also tried to answer some of the above questions with all of that knowledge in your little ...oh nevermind... see you in PA in a couple weeks.

those scuper styly wands are carpet wands. they spray water and suck it back up. I do interior tile and grout cleaning and a truck mount is my next step in that line of business.

I dont know a whole lot about them, but if your interested in them, I will take some pics, I have no use for them.

Lot of possabilities for the right guy, reclaim, carpet, tile, etc... Use it as a complete unit or put it in a trailer. If its cheap, do what you want to.

keep it for reclaim in fleetwashing. Get rid of everything but the blower, engine, and tank, setup some sort of pumpout and get a waste tank on the box truck. You have all the necessary parts of reclaim there. I would ditch the van and the rest including spray hose, just keep the vac hose
