I think that having a certificate in each aspect of pressure washing is a good marketing idea.
We all know that a certificate is a piece of paper and some people doing certifications have no business doing so but what about NCE Certifications by leaders in each category or guys with a lot of experience to certify those that want certifications?
I don't think that it would hurt to have a certificate but I think it would hold a lot more weight if it was done by NCE instead of by the orgs out there as they are all having their credibility issues, issues with things going on behind doors, etc.....
Some of the common certifications would be for: House Washing, Building Washing or a combination of both, Fleet Washing, Concrete Cleaning, Awning Cleaning, Window Cleaning, Wood Restoration, and Roof Cleaning, maybe others that I am not thinking about right this minute also.
Sirocco already has their Wash Water Control Certification which is great and SealNLock has their certification.
I first did not think that it would be a good idea to have certifications as there are always contractors out there that are hacks that can get certified and the certification does not ever guarantee good work done 100% of the time but it would help educate everyone and raise the bar and it would help with marketing some.
The question is who would be those that are asked to do the certifications, I guess that would be up to NCE and their judgement, I think that they would choose the right people for the jobs.
It would be nice to have all these certification opportunities at each event so that people would not have to go to a lot of events and spend a lot of money out of their pockets to get certified.
Maybe have the certifications 2 times during the event or after hours so they could listen to the speakers that they really wanted to hear besides getting certified.
