Well here it is The New Machine

Nice rig.
Is the camera new also?

Thanks David.. I still have the whitco, it's sitting by my backdoor of the house.. My wife told me to sell it... And Chris right now I have my gardenn hose reel running to the top hole on the drum laying sideways , the hose going to the pump running out the bottom of the barrel , and the return from the unloader running into the top of the tank ... I just got to get a float valve to go into the the top 2 inch hole where the water comes in so it will shut the flow on and off.. I also had to drill a small weep hole in the top of the tank to keep the pump from sucking the barrel together.. I will get some close up pics in the morning..

John, You are running a 3/4" supply hose to that Brand New machine with a strainer so it does not starve for water Right??????????

Chris I have 100 ft of 3/8 old pressure washer hose that I use for a garden hose on a reeal.. Off of that I ran a 3/4 hose into the 60 gallon drum and then out of the drum I ran a 3/4 inch hose to the pump... I am thinking about running PVC instead of hose .. or maybe step up to some of that larger braided clear hose.

Looks great John. My Kodak camera gets blurry pics also, it's the time delay in the camera that sucks though.

The end of February I'm replacing my Silver Eagle (doesn't burn hot enough & the coil is getting ready to fall through the frame of the unit). I've been seriously looking at the BCE Cleaning Systems machines. It's gonna between the BCE Systems, Hydrotek and PressurePro machine though. When it comes down to price though BCE has the best prices between the 3. Plus they offer free shipping.

I'm gonna end up going with at least a 7.5GPM this time around though. This way I can cut the cleanings down at Starbucks from 10 Minutes to 5 or 6 minutes each :dance3:

Hey John, That's a great looking machine! That 1.5 gpm will make a huge difference. Don't forget to switch the tips in your surface cleaner.

You'll probably want to replace that 3/8 water supply going to the barrel with at least a 5/8ths line. I prefer using the Goodyear hose found at home depot. It's help up very well, and is not prone to kink (Some may prefer kinky hose..)

+10

John, you really need something larger than 3/8" hose to feed the tank that feeds your machine, 5/8" will work but 3/4" would be better, especially if you are going to install a float valve. The supply hose should always be larger than the output hose.

I would hate for you to run out of water and waste the packings on that new pump or burn up that new pump and the warranty not cover it, I can just about guarantee that it will not be covered with it setup like that.

I tried out some of that red contractor hose at Lowe's, it is 75' long and is 3/4" and it is holding up good, wish it was longer than 75' though but that is ok, I have 100' before that on the reel and another 50' after it so a total of 225'.

Thanks Chris I Got alot of plumbing to do .. I will check out the red hose .. The 3/8's hose just fills the tank.. I have 3/4 going to the machine... But If I had to run all the time or for more than about 20 minutes the tank would probably run out of water.. I really need to get me a float setup bad though.. I will check out the water hose.. Oh about the surface cleaner I am rebuilding it , The one I built I backed over it with the trailer.. But dont fear it will probably be working soon I hope

If you are going to keep the drum there for your tank, no matter which float you use (hudson or the toilet bowl tank kind) you will have to cut a hole in the drum to put the float in through.

After you have the float valve you decide you will be using, I would drill a hole, get a jigsaw or sawzall and cut out an opening for it to fit through and save that piece of plastic so you can put stainless steel hinges on it and re-attach it to the drum with some rubber or silicone on the edges so not too much water splashes out when you are driving.

Running 5gpm, that will give you about 10-11 minutes of continuous use if you don't have the supply open to the drum before the drum is empty.

Congratulations on the new rig.

Consider one of these tanks John. Since you're using a single axle, be careful of your weight limit. You can turn the water off supplying the tank a few minutes before you complete the work, that way you'll be hauling very little water, reducing your weight. You still don't want to go over your weight limit of the axle, otherwise you'll bend it. But one of these tanks, like the 65 gallon, will allow you to strap it down safely and add a float valve a little easier.

I agee with what Chris said. I believe he means to stand it upright and then do the following. That would be alot easier/cheaper for now.
But those tanks that Micah showed are nice to.
Thats a good deal you got on the rubber hose.

Also I will be going up to memphis this weekend or next week if you want look at this site and see if they ahve a tank you like and let me know I can pick it up while im there. or you can get one of those totes I have

You really need to look at the Del..Err, rahsco machines. They are Aladdins, and I have had excellent luck with them. Just bought an additional machine this past week. The truck is almost ready to be shown off...
