Want to make your own x-jet?

I knew$150.00 was a lot for the x-jet.

just remember that the draw rate is what makes the x-jet as good as it is. I have messed with the homemade type and still cant get a 50% draw.

I am with ron on this one, I think you missed the point with a x-jet and dont use it to full potencial that It could be used... It also seems like it comes out like a turbo, but just in the reverse direction.... For 150.00 it is just a small price for a good all around tool that wont sit on the self in your rig...

After a few of the guy's saw the X-jet in action yesterday the real truth about theX-Jet came to light. A .22 shoots bullets and so does a .44 Magnum, you just can't compare the two. I think Strick might of shown the same thing yesterday.

I tried to make a home-made version, but it doesn't work! I put it together just like the pic above shows, a brass pipe Tee, a 1/4 hose barb, a 3/8 hose barb for the pick-up hose, and a 1/4" male QC coupler.

When I attach it to the end of the wand, fire up the PW, and try to draw anything through the hose, all I get is water shooting OUT of the pick up hose....

Ideas? I have an X-jet, so it isn't as if I have to have this thing, I was just curious what the draw rate would be.

Thanks!

Helluva good idea Chuck. As infrequently as I use mine, I wish I'd of done what you did.

Sounds like those guys are just jealous that he beat them to the punch, taking that idea and making it into a superior, effective, high quality product. I've been beating the hell out of mine since April '99 and its still ticking.............works like the day I got it.

Just curious, but who really cares about New Again anyway? From what I've ever heard of it, its overpriced and nothing special. Never tried it, but never had to..........when it comes to deck strippers I use other sodium hydroxide based products for much less money. I've never cleaned a roof, so I'm not sure of its effectiveness there........but I know its argueable.

If you dont like a guy, and think his prices are a bit high, that's fine, but think twice before you step into a public forum and talk him down, please.

Sorry to hear you couldnt make it to your roundtable.

Yes, that is what the boards are for. We're grateful for any tricks you want to share. But, its one thing to tell someone how to make an xjet.............its another to go a step futher and bash the xjet and say it's a rip off..............when you know anything you make will never be up to par with it. (not saying it has to be).

The difference between New Again and the xjet is, New Again is easily duplicated............the xjet is not.

Anytime you get a group of people together, some are going to "take things to heart' its human nature. All bb's will be the same.............any interaction for that matter. We're not always going to agree...........so what. Don't let it bother you, or keep you away. We can disagree yet remain friendly. (not speaking strictly of you and I)
