I am wondering what the average everyone is paying their employees around the country before we start looking for new hires. I am looking for a supervisor at this time and wondered what is the average supervisor pay from all of you.

Supervisors- $15-$20 ?

Technicians - $10-$15 ?

Depends on experience and attitude.
If you have a guy who is motivated and can fix a problem on his own without burning up the phone at 2 or 3 in the AM that is worth alot to me and I will pay you for it.

I have some great people who can do a few great jobs a week ( 4-5 max) then they start getting tired and sloppy I solved that by going part time with a few more employees than full time and it allows a bunch of diffrent cleaners to hash out when and where they can work and it keeps them fresh. hourly wages depend on experience I start at 11 an hr and go from there.

Thats what i am looking at right now with a possible new hire. He has ran a painting business for another guy i know and done so for the last 4 years. The painting business has taken a crash and he is starting to look for something else just in case he is let go. Very reliable and has all the right qualities for a good employee that i can think of to be looking for i am just having a hard time convincing the wife on wages. She is upset that they would be making more than her.

I know you know this Chris... but a great employee is worth their weight in gold. Paying them more will ultimately mean that you (or your wife) will make more... more time to sell, more time to market, more time for other jobs, other ventures... and oh yeah, each other!!!

Good Luck with the employee hunt Chris, sounds like things are really coming together for you, happy for you buddy!

:D
