vinyl roof clean

I had one of my roofers call the other day. His customer wanted their roof cleaned. And wanted me to stop by and take a look . Has any one ever cleaned a vinyl roof , its a vinyl wrap over and existing shingle roof.

I would think it could be cleaned with apple sauce but rinsed really good.and fairly fast

Any one ever cleaned one of these?
 
Hey Dave/neighbor LOL... Yes I've done bunches of them. Mostly on Mobile and Manufactured Homes. Normally I just spray the Roof down with a regular Roof Cleaning mix and then run my surface cleaner over it. Unless the Roof over is real old and brittle you will have no problems doing it this way. Follow up with a lite rinse and it's back to bright white again. 2 things to watch out for is the brittle and old factor. I have walked away from a few that were like that. The other is the slippery factor. Try to stay on the dry areas. Those Roofs can get pretty slick. Once you've Cleaned off all the Mold and algae it's fine to walk on wet. Hope this helps! :)
 
Larry, thanks for the info its a church too big and steep for a surface cleaner. It actually looks like shingles if you look at it quick from the road. I was with my roofer this morning talking about it , his remark was some one put pool liner over the roof. I 'll price it so its worth the aggravation. Let you know what happens

This new information definitely changes things a bit. Sounds like a good strong roof mix application, rain rinse and A LOT of watering down of ground cover during the application. Definitely let us know how you make out and don't forget the before and after pics! We like Pics! :)

LOL...Whats up Kasey? Trust me you don't want to work for me. I'm a slave driver. LMAO...J/K I actually had Jason from Sparkle Kleen over in Sarasota give me a hand a few weeks ago when I got in a bind. Real nice guy. We had a good time. Well,,, as good as it gets when working.
