Van setup Pics

Greaser of the Year
I would like to see some pics of some van setups. I have a horizontal mount Hydrotek pw for hood cleaning and I want out of the trailer. My question is how do you exhaust it out? Does everything fit ok? Are anymore hood cleaners using vans?

I plan on having a "stink barrier" so I'm wondering if I'll have enough leg room being 6'2"?

I had two seperate Van set-up over the years. One Van the tranny went and it wasnt worth fixing. The other Van I had a landa with a Horizontal Burner and that I vented out the back doors. This Van worked great and I wish I had pictures of it...it might be hear somewhere on this bb.

Michael...yeah, I have considered one of those, I'm seeing more and more of them on the road. Do they have stink barriers? It's kinda hard to find one of those cheap, nobody wants to get rid of them--they must be pretty good vehicles.

John, I looked around on here and couldn't find any pics...can you think of the thread that the pics would be in?

Actually, does anybody have any pics of the exhaust of their horizontal burners in general?

John, that is zactly what I'm looking for....did you sell that already? I would have something made to have a solid seperation though, I don't like to stink and if there is anyway to get the stinch from the back to the front, it's not going to work. I smell bad enough as it is, I don't need any help from kitchen grease :D

Thanks John for the pic, do you guys think it would be better to just vent it out the back like that or just go up through the roof?

Being stinky is part of the business. If you aint stinking then you aint making any stinky(Money). Ahh the smell of Money..mmmmmm Now thats the stinky we want.

As for that Van and the Landa PW I sold them separately last year. I got about $8000 for them. Then I went and spent it as fast as I got it. That damn stinky green stuff just never last.....

Well, I went and looked at this van today, and now I'm totally convinced that I need to switch. The van measures 9 feet long from behind the seat in full driving position for me (all the way back), 6+ feet wide and 54" tall. It has quite a bit more room than my trailer and I would be able to do 70 mph down the freeway. I gotta do 55 pulling the trailer, which sucks. This one was white and I didn't like that part of it, but everything else I liked. I'm prolly not going to buy this one, but I'm definetly going to make a concerted effort in finding one.

Well at least you picked a Ford this time. Seems as though you would want an extended version to get the most room and not have to drag a trailer for the extra stuff.
55??? The LEO's must be very aggressive out there.

yeah, I got popped by Ponch a few months ago for doing 62....I thought I was doing 55 but I guess with the 35's the speedo is off a tad. What I'd really like to have is the E-3 fiddy w/ the diesel. They are really hard to get though I'm finding out. Everything will easily fit into that van, the only time I would need to tow is when I had flatwork to do on the same job.

Forget exhausting the machine and use a Joey bed. We have extended E350's with our Hydrotech's mounted in the back. They work great and make working on the machine easy.
Go to http://www.joeybed.com. The only thing that we did was cut off the wheels and mount the frame of the Hydrotech

I will get you some pictures. Can't remember how much they were. All I can remember is that the first one we purchased worked so good that we ordered them for all of the vans.

Cold has really had no affect. The biggest adaptation that we have had to make is making everybody THINK when it rains. They put the electrical cord on the ground or wherever it lands up and the electrical shorts out. Makes me VERY HAPPY.

2003 140 SHC 2500, w/chip 22 mpg
2005 158 SHC 2500, have not been able to finish van, getting close
Good:
I can stand up in the van, the van is quiet, fast (85 top speed) handles great, hauls lots of stuff, all of my tools, pipe, very comfortable to drive

Bad:
Not cheap to buy, rumble strip noise, lousy CD radio
