Unique payment for small job

I took this as payment for a small job I'm doing for a friend. Had a crazy vision of making a drivable cleaner out of it, but, I think it will be more fun other ways.

78 Harley 3 wheeled golf cart.

That could be a great starter project for a ride on, try some ideas on it, see what works and what doesn't. Maybe put 3 10" surface cleaner up front, stager them likan arrow, make the center one overlap the two side cleaners, and you should get great performance. Put some squeegee material on the bottom of your cleaners and make a harness so the the front cleaner assembly will float up and down, and make the unit so that you can stow if high enough the ground so as not to get caught on bumps and what not.

I built my first ride on out of a 1950's era golf cart and used it for years.

Good luck,
Joe Crowder

Yeah...surface cleaners....or just make it cool. This was a ragged out, camo spray painted hunting golf cart I bought from a buddy for $500. Put a few bucks into to it and fixed it up myself.

That one you have is a classic.

Mike, that is so cool. Especially w/ company logo on it.
Around here alot of the folks have mini Hummer carts or Rolls Royce.

nice resto Mike.

GKS that will be a fun project. Those moon hubcaps are classic.

I love bartering. :) My dad's a mechanic and we would get all kinds of stuff for payment. My fav was a ferret we got once. Best pet ever! :D

I would guess that was your dad's least favorite.

My room was in the basement so he didn't really care...lol. If I was upstairs with him that would have totally been the case. Those things are noisy. The smell was not an issue like most people think. Those are usually dirty :pleasantry: ferrets. I had some shampoo for mine and he loved baths. He was bathed once a week. :smile-us-down:

Think I'll just make it cool and useful.

With the radical changes that have gone on in my life the last two years the options are a plenty.

Monster Garage is one of my favorite all time shows. I have wheel scrubs from a car wash unit that could work to sweep/scrub. The back is open enough to mount a small belt drive unit on with a stainless float tank..or just put a ball on the back and tow a small trailer with it for working behind condos and such.

I thought of your cycle work when I saw it.

We took a camper as payment on a job once, sold it later for more. Sometimes you have to do what you can to help people out.

Gary...that thing could be really cool....I had the oppurtunity to pick one like yours and kick myself for not getting it.....tons of directions you could go with it.

My head spins when thinking about different things to do with it. I really need to move somewhere that I can enjoy it. Don't need 5-0 busting me for riding through town here on it...although the press would be interesting.

Letter it up with your business info and take it out on estimates...lol
