Unbelievable, check out this new clip!

In 1979, Mexico's Ixtoc I in the western Gulf blew out and spewed about 420,000 gallons of oil a day for nine months. Large quantities of oil did not reach Texas beaches.

"This was a problem we ran into with Ixtoc, we never found the oil," McKinney said. "But I think even today if you dig down in some sandy beaches you can find a layer of Ixtoc oil."

9 MONTHS! This gives reason to hope it will not be the end of the world or the Gulf, I hope so. Oil does come out of the seafloor and volcanic areas spew untold amounts into the ocean so it takes care of it somehow. Another positive, 1/3 of the oil will evaporate.

That is a positive sign. Didn't know about the 1/3 thing.

That is uncanny. She reported that every method that failed in the mexico leak has (surprise) failed in this leak. The leak in Mexico was at a 200 ft depth. They are trying those same methods now at a 5000ft depth.

And the 1/3 thing is very interesting.

Also, I had a customer vacation in Gulf Shores last week. He said that the kids were finding these oily pebbles on the beach. Couldn't notice them yet unless you were looking for them.
