truck washing runoff

I'm new to washing trucks, just bid on and have a good bid in to wash ten trucks and trailers.
I've been asked about laws regarding waste water from the washing.
I've tried to research, but I've only managed to confuse myself !
I'm in South Carolina if that helps

Try your local storm water people. The environmental dept. often has some jurisdiction, as well. Half the problem is finding the people that are in charge of writing the regulations, and the local standards. The EPA sets the standards and expects the local governments to enforce them.

Hello Mike R,

The American Trucking Asso. several years ago did a survey of all of the various states. They asked what permitting requirements are necessary and contact names and numbers.
