trash can cleaning

you own it or its in your area? I was thinking get a contract with the city and go around behind their trash trucks cleaning them. You charge the city xx amount and they charge the residents... Dont know how and if it would work that way, I was just brianstorming some stuff
 
I looked into this a while back and there is a guy selling a book on how to get started, there are companies selling the mechanisms to lift, tilt and wash the cans along with filtering the water to re-use.

There are some great youtube videos on this.

After asking a lot of people in my area, friends, business people, customers, etc.... not too many wanted to spend money on cleaning the cans.

In my area it looks like not the right market but some larger cities it looks to be doing good.

Do some market research and calling around, you just never know.
 
Since that would likely be more than 25k they would probably put it out for bid. In reality, in Mesa, you can call tue city and they will replace the can with a clean one, on request.
 
I can yell you who to contact. He is a perfect a.., though. My guess is he has a buddy that would just happen to start a service in the perfect time frame to compete,and you could not be certain where the start up money came from...if you know what I mean. ;)
