Traffic Cones

Other than those cones being horribly over priced, I cannot think of anything to add to the above. Do a search. There are LOTS of places that you can get collapsible cones from that are half that price.

They blow over really easy, I can imagine that in Vegas you can get some blustery days. I have seen them blow over 150' away from a work site. I am partial to regular rubber cones. If they get run over they return to their shape. Search traffic cones for sale in Google. I have seen the regular rubber HD cones for as low a $6.00 a piece. Hope that helps Tony.

Wasn't that $50.00 for four lighted cones and a carrying case. I didn't think that sounded that bad

whoops, I thought that was just for one cone. Not a bad price after all. I will go and take my beating now.

Wow, after seeing this thread, you guys are going to think I am a cheapo.
I have 50 cones. But I get mine off of the freeways. Yep, I pull over if it has no city or other business label or logo on it.

Never paid a penny for them. Yep I'm a cheapo.

A ballsy but valid/honest enough confession if there ever was one.

Truthfully I'll go on record that all mine were given to me from a caltrans worker. In case anyone is wondering...it is damn difficult to try and remove or burn off the writing on them things. I mention such as how am I to prove they given to me..Guy surely not allowed to in first place. :p

ps- but hey Abc yours might just be some poor souls lost cones and not the highway departments so sorry ot imply you theif..lol..

:D :D :D :D

That's too funny!!!! :p

ME TOO!

I've got Shelly trained. She comes home with them in the trunk of her car!:D

I have those cones Tony but mine came from Northern, My truck has very limited space so these are perfect for me. Keep an eye out at northern they go on sale alot.

I've only got a regular 8 ft bed with a 325 gallon tank, hot skid, pump up sprayer, surface cleaner and ladders latched on all over the place. The back seat is a tool shed on wheels. I don't have any space either.

The other day I pulled up to the curb and my son said, (in his best street drug dealer imitation,

"You got a lot of ladders hanging off that truck.......you looking to get high?.." ;)

We look like Sanford and son and all those roadkill cones don't help matters.:D .

I really need a flatbed.

Yeah, if it has a city or company logo, I leave it alone.
Plus I have so many now, from collecting them over the years that I'm set for a while.

Next i am going to build an extra work truck from all of the wreckage found on the side of the roads. Kidding of couse.

But, calculating the cost of cones by the 50 that I have recovered, I believe I have saved a small fortune with vs. the expense of buying them.

I can't ever imagine being on a project that requires more than I have already collected.

Even if they are the citys, you pay your taxes, therefore they are your cones for the taking! Think that would hold up in court?

Hey, guys I was in Toys R Us last night and they have these collapsable cones 18'' for $10 bucks a piece.. They look very sturdy. The only thing is they say drive safe kids at play on one side of them. Which might be appropriate for most of us on the job,LOL..

If nothing else the cars would slow down and look at your trailer!
