Low Balling piece of S%&$!!!!!
Snake in the grass RAT!
I think maybe these words are directed to someone around the boards and weren't directed at him.Just a hunch.
William Page Strikes Again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
almost 5k ... talk about leaving money on the table.
Depends I guess on comparable Bids. Maybe your just not pricing correctly?
DJ we have our differences but the commericial world is not residential. Your not going to upsell and talk a bunch of Value to alot of these people. Its about the dollars, the budgets and what they expect.
Just telling you that Easypro will not be the elite house washer in Commerical. Plus I thought this was mike that got burned? Your the one who lost the bid? Do you know what the low bid was? I'll bet that the person who won was right in the middle of you both.
Maybe instead of fighting agaist your comp you network and work things out. Establish working relations so you guys dont start bidding Wars.
No one wins in that game!! Except the Customer...
I'm not talking about collaborating but just have a sit down and talk it out.
The world is a big place.
You got everyone wondering. Who's the guy destroying ky? I don't recall any of my folks in ky, we call all 8 people there occasionally. So come on and at least tell us the story?
I just want to know how low was this guy.
Great post Ron and exactly what I would have said.
Bidding wars suck but unfortunatley not everyone has the same overhead, salaray expectations and goals. Some folks are not as diverse in their service offerings and in slower times may get more aggressive to stay busy....there is nothing wrong with this.
The other side of this is what Ron touched on and I will eloborate on. Relationships. Who has the relationship, who has the inside track, who has seen the budget? Possibly the guy that won the bid, perhaps there was a budget and he met the budget. Often times budget limitations dictate the scope of work and who is willing to do the work, not every job is for every contractor.
Try to work it out with the other contractors in the area.
