tire marks on pavers

can you remove tire marks on pavers without hurting the sealant on them? These are new sealed pavers. Maybe a year or so old. They are nice and clean but have some tire marks on them.

 anybody?

I have this restaurant patio which is brown and white paving. It has been sealed over the dirt. I clean it every two weeks and I am desperately trying to "hurt" the sealing as much as possible. Every time I go, I spray the white pavers with concentrate butyl degreaser and 2 qrts of amonia per 6gal degreaser. So far I have success with removing only the sand out of it and of course better look in general :). So per method of exclusion: I think butyl will remove tire marks and will not really hurt the seal from only one time treatment. Don't count 101% on me though :), I am still new to the biz.. just my opinion.

I had a job a couple of years ago where kids on bikes were skidding their tires on this woman's lite peach colored pavered driveway. Ahhh! What a mess. I used a butyl based sodium hydroxide on it. Let it dwell and had to hit it all with a turbo nozzle. It took awhile but I got it all out. I think the same would work fine for you minus the turbo nozzle. Sodium Hydroxide, Surface Cleaner and Hot Water should do it. Use the Stampede you got from Rex. That should work great! :thumbup2:

Just did a huge HOA complex. Tire marks and tracking from the (cheap) seal coating. Used a product called DTar, a citric acid product. The pavers were actually 6000 PSI stamped asphalt, epoxy coated. Worked well, and more importantly does not hard or leave any residue to the surrounding asphalt areas.

WOW! Nice job Jim. Who would have known they were supposed to be that color.

Those pavers are cleaning up real nice, are they strong enough to run a surface cleaner over or did you have to use the wand on it all?

Thanks.

Spinner, 3400 PSI at about 180 degrees. No problem

The biggest problem was traffic. I had 2 men who job description was nothing but traffic control.

Looks great Jim. C. Is the HOA going to reseal the perimeter around the pavers or just have it cleaned more regularly.

They recently had the project seal coated. I'm trying to upsell them on resealing the stamped pavers. Problem once again is traffic control. The sealer needs to cure for 24 hours, and some self center fool driving over the fresh sealer would surely be a bad thing.
