Things I am thinking about.

hELLO eVERYONE,
I have read that belt driven is the best because of smooth operation. I have heard that the belts may get out of line or break
or out of alignment.

I have heard that Direct Drive is no good. I have heard that direct drive can only be used for a short time ---50% service factor.

I have heard that a gear box has a permaneent low pump speed

I have heard argument for vertical coils-- they burn more effeciently, less soot build-up, lower stack temp., do not create hot spots. However Landa and Delco both have alot of horizonal coils. What gives?

I have heard arguements about propane burns cleaner, less electricity, better maintanence, solid state, but dangerous.
Diesel? Propane?

Are Cat pumps the best?

These are things I am thinking about.,
Thank you for any input.

I know that marketing and not equiptment is the bottom line. I just want to be competitive and effective. I want to promise the best.

Ok, Scott,
This is just my opinion. The most important thing to remember is this. Get a machine that gives you the flow and pressure you need. Everything else is secondary. Your quality in doing a job is more dependant on the chemicals you use, and your technique above everything else. Do you take that little bit of extra time to make sure the details are right? This is very important reguardless of the the machine you have. Do you research what chem goes with each application. Planning is so important. I know I don't have the best machine, but that's ok. I do a quality job at a good price. I find that these things are important. Remember this, if you are doing a ton of surface work, then you most important investment is going to be surface cleaners. So keep that in mind.

Like I said this is just my opinion. And you know what that means... they are just like something else everyone has. LOL
