the other day a customer of mine had an oil spill. They called me to come clean it up. But like sharks, these guys smelt the oil from a mile away. They watched me for the entire job. made sure I would not drop a single drop of water down the drain. These pisc are with my camera phone, sorry about the quality. This is the end of the job. As you can see the drain is 10ft in front of me. I did a good job, not a drop down the drain. try to spot the sharks. there are 2 of them.

I first use the dry sweep to absorb the oil. Then degrease and pressure wash off. everyone knows the stain won't come out, the goal is to get the oil from the asphalt so when it rains, it wont go down the sewer.

It is funny, I caught the guy sleeping when I was doing the job. The job was about 200 yards long. The section you see is the last part of the job.

What the heck are you guys talking about???? Ludacris? is he with Run DMC or 2 live crew or the Fat Boys??

So where are the sharks? Not that truck that is just parked there? Had they really wanted to do something, they would have got out to watch, asked a bunch of stupid questions and tried to make you nervous enough to choke and screw up.

Well I didn't put the whole story but here it goes. I did this job last friday. It was only supposed to be 2 15ft long strips of oil. however, when I get there the shark gets out and threatens me that if I don't wash the enire 200-300 yards of street he will call up another company and send me the bill. Then he starts asking me what I do with my water and tries to find a flaw in my methid of pressure washing. Well I only brought a half a tank of water because i thought the job was only going to be 30 ft long. Around 1pm I need to empty my used water and fill up my tank. So I tell THE SHARK I will be back. I get back to the job and finish it up. Since he wasn't there to watch me do the job he calls the company that hired me and said I need to go back and redo the 2nd half of the job. The shark was trying to be a prick and catch me ridin' dirty.

what the H+ll are you talking about here? I heard of the DMC guy....but what ..........how.............hell with it.

Every so often you get a guy like that. You might try calling his supervisor and expressing you displeasure. Or better yet, write a letter. You have more time to compose your thoughts, so you don't come off like the same kind of a**hole you are discusing. List who called you, your initial information, the difference in what your expectations where and the actual job. Write down his comments and attitude. Explain your qualifications, the type of equipment you have, even the chemical used. Enclose copies of any MSDs licenses, certifiacations, insurances, worker's comp and bond. That makes you look more professional and your advesary more like Mr Poopy-pants.

It sounds like he is more worried about production of citations and the fines then he is about results of getting the oil up. I would be seriously tempted to get a certified lette from the contractor saying the knucklehead made you redo aprt of the job, because he did not see it and billing him for it. That is out of the pourvu of his responsilities.
