Here's a couple pics of my hot and mighty Great Rig!!
24hp Vanguard 20gpm pump 4 step bag filtration, just what i needed and they were great to work with. Awesome on their prices. Lets just say this I did a lot of research on pricing this stuff, it was a big investment, they were around 10,000 cheaper for my rig overall than any others I found. With more power and better service. Some pics are from them on their site after they built it and some are from me when I got it home, just so you know i'm not just copying pics and making stuff up to sell their stuff. I was looking for filtration and opted out of the O/W separator. They custom built this rig for me and were awesome every step of the way.

Their pics at their shop in IN after it was built.

Ron i've read a couple post where you have mentioned that you don't agree with Tom from H&M all that much. But I can only speak from my experience working with him. He is a strait talker and he will go out of his way to help and set you up with the right equipment that's perfect for what you need.

Sirocco, if and when I sell an account or property that requires it.

Steve:

We work in your neck of the woods all the time and are always required to recover, Orange County and the city of Oralando both require us to recover, we do some restaurants in your area and have been "warned" to not let any discharge into the storm system. If you ever get into any larger jobs you need recovery on give me a call.

And by the way Sirocco would be a great choice, great value and support.

It's not that I over thought the process. H&M actually tried to talk me out of the filtration (kinda weird huh that a company actually cares about your budget and doesn't try to stick you if you don't need it). I checked with the city of Tulsa and the State of OK before I decided to invest in my rig. I know a lot of you have been doing this for a long time and the rules didn't apply to you then because either they didn't exist or they were not enforced. For those of us who are just now breaking into the industry it is almost now impossible to ignore, especially if your wanting to get into the commercial side of things.

I am working with the city and will be one of two pressure washing companies listed on their PACE (evironmental) program. Even though most of our work is done in the evenings, i want to do as much work as I can in the light of day so that ppl see me and my company. Also being on this program with the city is a great advantage in competitive bidding situations. That was the goal from the beginning. The city looks at rules and regulations and honestly have no idea of what it takes to actually recover and filter the water. So its like a catch 22. You either take your chances and hope what works for you works for them or work with them to make sure your both on the same page. I didn't want to invest money and take any chances.

Texas has been enforcing this stuff for a while and have had some time to fine tune things. While OK has had the rules on the books they are just now starting to regulate, so of course they are taking it to the extreme as usual. I figure, it takes guys actually trying to work with them to get things manageable for the industry here. If not they will impose impossible rules and regulations from going to conferences with desk jockies and tree huggers and not look or ask us about how it applies in the real world.

Guy

The reason I went for such a big pump was three fold.
First: It will shut up any storm water quality regulator that tries to debate that i'm not picking up what I put down.

Second: we get a lot of rain here and the city was not designed well to drain the rain, kinda ironic huh, lol. So it doesn't take much for the city to flood out and you get a lot of situations where the rain has stopped but you cant get to the surface to do the work cause of the standing water. Sounds crazy but I have seen it so often in new construction especially its not funny.

Third: you never know when you might be able to make a quick buck using just the recovery equipment. It never hurts to think outside the box. Honestly I had a quotes with a hydrotek system built in for any where from 5- 10,000.00 more than what I got this system for. and its only 8gpm vs 20gpm ummm 10,000 for -12gpm. Wasn't hard.

Greg is right it can absolutely be done cheaper if you build it yourself. I just didn't have the time to be able to build my rig from scratch, test it, fix problems, and run two businesses at the same time. I was able to handle my biz and work with H&M over 2 months on the phone get this rig custom built to suit my needs within my budget.
