texas roof clean

It looks like a great way to build up your back and delts. I can't imagine pulling that thing up and down a 100+ times per roof in the florida summers, cool video though. I'm trying to figure out how long it would take to do a 3000sq/ft roof, cleaning 14-18" a pass. I guess you would have to do all the edges, valleys, and ridges by hand, also the area around each plumbing vent, attic vent, oven exhaust vent, dryer exhaust vent, and skylight on a 12l12 by hand? Wow, it sure sure looks like 3 roofs a day would take way more ibuprofen than the stomache will allow to me, cool video though.

I can't figure why in the world a Business would do something in a manner that cost them more in time and Labor. It just doesn't make financial sense. That's like trying to clean a parking garage with a 2 gpm 2000 psi machine and a single tip wand. WHY?

Now Tim ?
If you go to the pitch witch site, you will see that they are very considerate people.
They actually make stuff us to sit our considerable sized butts on while we have some exercise!

I think they call it a ridge runner ?

I really like the video, and I don't mean to be negative. I know everyone has thier own way of doing things, but it seems really time consuming to me. Texas roof clean, that's a very good and informative video and I hope you do very well for yourself.

Check out the video on this page, half way down on the right. http://www.texasroofclean.com/FAQ.html

I agree, the video is fine and that's good because they are going to need the volume of work doing it the way they do it. That $375 example on thier site... Most of us would have that done in 1 - 1 1/2 hour. Thier methods looks like way too much time and labor cost. Not to mention more time on that roof = more time being hit with the higher WC premium. From a business/numbers point of view, they are leaving money on the table doing it with a not-so-effective chem and questionable amounts of pressure.
If the chem worked, there'd be no need for the up close attention with the witchamajigger.

Guys, I’m not judging the methods, I was complimenting that the video is great.

I think video is and excellent tool and more of us should have it. It’s a great tool for educating the customers.

I dont do residential roofs and the commercial stuff i do is very different. I do machine shop roofs and if we dont blast them your not going to get the stuff off.

Like they say about cats...skinning one anyway.

We practice a similar method and our customers and bank account are happy.

Merry Christmas,

Happy Kwanzaa.

That is all that is really important, that the roof gets clean, w/o damage, and everyone's happy ?
It costs too much, takes too long, and is not ARMA approved to do it other ways, as far as I know ?

I'll gladly tell you how much in material and labor it has cost me to clean roofs.

Usually less than $10 in chems and 2 hours labor.

I guess you may want to remove my link from your site then, Chris.

Sorry I haven't gotten they link back to yours, but been dealing with a lazy website builder.

i just dont like the concept ,not saying its wrong ,its just my oponion

I respect your opinion Russ, I have no problems with the ARMA method other than the results I get from another roof cleaning product, other than those saying they use that method and their math doesn't compute with the ARMA specs.

My new philosophy has been...."clean it your way and prepare for problems"

None to date but. I'm ready when they happen.

Your not supposed to drive in the rain without your headlights, but people do.

Remove the link ?
Not on your life, LOL

I even still have Mike Williamson's link there, and he and I have gone round and round, ain't no big deal.

Business is business, and a recriprocal link is good for BOTH parties.

And, while Mike Williamson and I have had our words, he is w/o a doubt competent to clean a roof.

I would have no hesitation referring a customer to him who was too far away from me.

Your link is safe, unless you direct me to remove it.
