Tennis Courts

I've got 4 or 5 tennis courts around town that are nasty and I want to approach to do them. Are there any special set up about doing them or chems to use or NOT use due to the paint? Also I think you could probably get better pricing other than the standard .15-.20 sq ft flat work so if anyone has any idea's about say a standard double court at the park what would you or have you charged? PM me if you don't want to put price in open forum. Thanks.
A per court charge would be nice to know if anyone has it figured up all ready. I haven't mesured any but I would guess they are a standard size.

Pricing is different all around the country so what I charge will not be what you charge, I would charge more than concrete as it is different and you will be using the wand on all of it.

I just use a good housewash mix like the Simple Cherry from Bob at PressureTek.

NO SURFACE CLEANERS!!!! or you will be paying to re-surface the courts.

You have to wand them and if you spray a good mix down, let it dwell and rinse, you will be good to go. Reduce your pressure so it is mostly volume to rinse so you will rinse faster and not have to worry about damage.

Good Luck.

Thanks guys,,to be honest I had no idea of NOT to use a surface cleaner. Glad I asked here..LOL..I don't play tennis but I didn't know if it was paint or some kind of dye in the crete....Sounds like you might be better off using a Delavan roof system to wash it...Anyone else have any other advice?

There is a way to modify a surface cleaner so that you could use it on tennis courts but I do not know why none of the manufacturers have made one yet???

Maybe I will invent it and make a whopping $2000.00 for selling the patent???? hahaha

Never use a surface cleaner on a tennis court because some are epoxy with grit added, some have a rubber-coating, some are on asphalt, etc... Pressure will not only leave permanent marks in the surface but depending on the surface, it could remove the surface and you would not want that bill or go to court.

I have done tennis courts before and shuffle board courts down here in FL. You can use your surface cleaner but you have to turn down the pressure or go to larger tips than normal for your application.

As far as chemical, use a house wash mix and put a little bit of S/H in the mix. On surfaces like this always remember high volume low pressure, and your good to go!!

Boy you got me scared now,,lol,,,I thought I saw here or somewhere on utube someone cleaning one with a surface cleaner so I guess thats what I had in my mind...I would test of course but I'm trying to get on the right side of the learning curve for this before pitching one,,,glad I asked thats for sure,,,I don't know about the caustic tho,,that sounds like a possible mess to me if indeed it's painted,,I don't know what I was thinking about what was on the court (paint),,,I wonder about a little 6% bleach and some SC? It's all mold, I"ve got to kill the mold. Ron can you chime in or know anyone that doe's these as part of their biz?

Sorry i meant a small amount of 12% S/H to eliminate the Mold..

I saw a vid. on youtube that had a guy cleaning one with two SC tied together. never stopped to think the paint might come up.

What if you put .40's on the SC will that work?
