Sun Block

With each passing year I seem to have less and less hair on the top of my head. I've never been able to wear a cap and on the rare occasion we get a sunny day the sun is really taking a toll on my scalp and forehead. Is there anything on the market that won't run into my eyes as I sweat?
Thanks and Happy Father's Day,

Try a Tilley hat, www.tilley.com MUCH more comfortable than a cap, they have a broad brim that shields your eyes, and they are really comfortable. Of course they should be for $70. The one I have is an LT6 and it weighs 4 ounces.

I have my hair buzzed most of the time so I know what you mean and I hate ball caps. I went and bought some doo rags and I wear them when I am working. I bought some of the nicer ones that wouldnt offend anyone. I have some that have american flags on them and such. I think people understand that you are out in the hot sun and need to protect your head I have never had anyone say anything bad about them some people comment and say that it looks pretty cool and they will absorb sweat and I can even soak them in water to help cool me off on those real hot days. :D

Thanks everyone for the advice.
Scott and Steven - Thanks for jogging my memory. I had a Tilly years ago when I actually had time to golf. Paid way too much for it at a Pro Shop. Must have lost trak of it years ago. Anyway I ordered a new one today.
Again, thanks for the information.

Bob:

My brother-in-law has been in the lawn care business for years, and has tried just about every type of sunscreen out there. He swears by a product called "Bullfrog". I believe you can get it at Wal-mart. He says it lasts all day, and he doesn't have a problem with sweat washing it off.

Personally, I'd go with the hat, but if you go the sunscreen route, try the bullfrog.

Just a brief note...Alex Tilley is Canadaian and Tilley is a Canadian company. Although we suffer from 10 months of winter and 2 months of bad skating we still deal with the sun and Tilley Endurables meet the need. Remember they are guaranteed for LIFE, really.

The elephant keeper at the Bowmanville, Ontario zoo has had his eaten and passed by one partuicular elephant three times, washed in the dishwasher (suggested by Tilley) and worn again; Tilley want it for their museum but he apparently won't part with it. A friend of mine had his blow off into the bilge and was eaten by battery acid; cheerfully replaced.

Yup, expensive to buy. Yup, cheap to own.

Just like your services, expensive to get, cheap to have.

Cheers :)
