I can't believe it. I ordered a 100' length of Dayco, Red, 5/8", 200psi, water supply hose from my distributor the other day. I just talked to him and he says, "It's in" I say "Great, I'll be down to get it. Oh, by the way, what do I owe you for it?" He says "$126.95 + tax (8.375%)"! I let him know; in a nice way that he’d never sell me another water supply hose. He cleverly remarked, “You’ll never need one”.
I Got off the phone and called Higher Power Supplies. They sell FlexiGen, Green, 5/8, 500psi, water supply hose for a whopping $37.50 per 100' run.
I probably don't need to embarrass myself any further by clarifying the stupid part, huh?
I am absolutely furious about this. These are both Industrial Grade hoses. What can possibly be so great about Dayco hose that makes it worth 70% (plus tax) more than Flexigen?
