Stripe removal bid?

I was wanting to know what the going rate is for parking lot stripe removal. The job is 13000 linear feet. They want to change the color from yellow to white. They don't expect me to remove all of the paint just what I can with a turbo nozzle and hot water. Thanks in advance for the help.

If you use a stripper it will go much smoother. If you just use the heat and a turbo nozzle you will see all the shadowing from where you stripped the old lines. Sherwin Williams sells a stripper called Dads Stripper (funny name but dont let that fool you its burns pretty bad) We use it all the time to strip line striping. How long do you think it will take you to strip 13000 linear feet?

I will have both machines going. I dont think it will take more than 8 or 9 hours.

But at the same time I've never done it. I tested one line and they were happy with what came off.

Curious question. It all depends. I have had strip removal jobs where everything came off really easy. I have also had striping removal jobs in the same lot, not 50 feet from the previous job that were a nightmare. It all depends on the paint and chemicals. Anymore, Time and materials is the way to go for this type of job, because of the widely varying paints, and expectations.
