Stainless Quick Connects

I need to purchase some new quick connects and was wondering if the price difference is worth it. I've always used brass, but I think stainless would be
a much better solution. I don't want to save a few bucks with the "budget"
stainless if they are trash. I'd gladly pay more to have a high-quality quick connect that lasts. Is Hansen truly worth it? Are there other brands or websites I should look at?

Hansen Stainless from PressureTek (Couplers $12.85 - $16.55)

Budget Stainless from PressureTek (All under $4)

I switched from brass to SS about 8 years ago and never looked back. They don't jam or freeze up and I use the same ones for 4 or 5 years before replacing.

Seems like the cheap brass ones get out of round if they are dropped on a hard surface and then either leak or won't accept the plug.

I haven't noticed any big difference in Hanson vs no name but do prefer the ones that have a knurrled surface so they can be easily grabbed with a gloved hand.

Go SS you can't go wrong.

I have been using the "Budget" Stainless Steel plugs/couplers from Bob at PressureTek for over 2 years now and only one problem. A mpt coupler broke when I was threading it into a gun but that was a manufacturer's defect, so only like one bad part out of a lot of plugs and couplers that I have ordered so far from Bob. Not too bad I think.

I did not go with the better brand because of personal choice. I have heard good things about the Hansen so for you too, it will be personal choice.

Thanks, guys! I appreciate it! Maybe I'll call PressureTek tomorrow and find out where the QC are made. I'd pay more for the Hansen if those are made in the USA and the others are made in red China.
