Something New...Thought I Would Share

While cleaning the sidewalks at an condo complex this week, my employee noticed that my Steel Eagle surface cleaner wasn't cleaning very well. I put a PSI gauge on and it showed only 2,600 psi. Turned over to replace the nozzles and noticed that the spray bar had worn down into one of the nozzle threads. Some water was coming out of the side of the nozzle! Both ends of the spray bar were severely worn after hundreds of hours of use. After replacing with a new spray bar and new 1503 nozzles, I was back to 3,500 psi cleaning five minutes later. Time to order a new backup spray bar.

Yes those tip get larger, ware and that's all it takes. Replace often to keep optimal. Lots of guys usually realize switching between surface cleaner to wand

Not sure if you know but Steel Eagle offers the spray bar welded together but I forgot if it is only for the Talon 4 swivel (mosmatic) or if it will work also with the Deublin swivel. I like not worrying about the angle of the nozzless/arms but I only have that spray bar on the machine with the Talon 4 swivel.

My 24" Steel Eagle has the Talon 4 swivel. While the wear on the spray arm occurred over many hours, my employee hitting something on Thursday was the "straw that broke the camel's back." The psi dropped right away as a new nozzle wouldn't correctly go into the spray arm threads with so much wear.
