Shurflo pump promblems

I have shurflo pump 1.0 Gpm 60 psi max set up on a spray cart.

I used it about 5 times for deck work that I do.

Well, I went to use it the other day and the pump did nothing. The bettery was fully charged.

I dont really know what to look for on what might be the problem.

I checked the switch, the wire leading from the switch to the pump and everything was getting a pos. reading.

What is my next move?

Thanks, Mark.

did you use a PICK TEST LIGHT to make sure the wire going into the pump as power?
Corrosives get into the crimp on wire connector's and mess up the copper.
If your 100% sure the motor is getting power, dose it come on but not pump? Or dose the motor not even come on?
Do you rinse out the pump every time you use it?
If you have power to the pump and it dose'nt move i would remove the pump end from the motor and see if the motor turn's with no pump. If the motor dose'nt turn then it's junk.
Somewhere you are supposed to wire in a fuse.
That way if something get's overheated the fuse burn's out not the motor.
$65 at northerntool and for$12 more they give you a no question 2 year warrentee.
I think your connection's have gotten corrosive in them.
Happened to me last week.

Thanks, Ron.

I well try somethings you said today.

The pump does not run at all. It sounds like some corrostion problems.

I did not run water through it the last few times I uesd it.

Thanks.

The only things I can think of are the impellars or check valve stuck or the motor brushes are not making contact with the armature inside the motor or the pressure switch is stuck with chemicals. Take the head off of the pump and see if the motor runs. If the pressure switch is stuck you may be able to rinse it out with water. Always run fresh water thru a chemical pump before you finnish a job!
